I tried many diets in the past that never worked for me, so I did some extensive research about the whole idea of dieting, till I reached a point where I can loose weight and control it. So here are the main points I mentioned In my book that you should focus on.
1- Eat slow, that way you give your brain a chance to notice that your stomach is getting full, so it will stop sending you all those unwanted hunger signals.
On every bite you can try to chew, swallow, put down your fork, and take a sip of water.
2- Never ever starve yourself, I found out the hard way that doing that will hinder any effort you make to loose a gram of fat. Eat every 2 to 3 hours, a small meal can boost your metabolism dramatically.
3- Hit the sack for 8 hours each and every night, not getting enough sleep will increase the levels of glucose and insulin in your blood, which will result in boosting body-fat stores, you will get a good excuse to be lazy and not feel guilty about it.
4- Don’t be too refined, you see most breads and cereals these days contain low amounts of fiber, foods rich in fiber help control blood glucose and insulin levels. So try to eat whole wheat breads, baked potato, or even a banana.
5- Get H2O, when you’re trying to loose weight your body is trying to get rid of all the stuff it’s breaking to generate energy, you need water to transport all the good stuff. Water helps your metabolism and digesting the food you eat, as well as help you cool off, flush the excess sodium from the salt… Blah blah blah. the list goes on.
6- And point number six. Try to avoid all junk food and I am not talking about the fashion brand, you see the best way is to eat healthy, and I know it sounds boring at times, but you have to eat clean, another way of putting it is that you are what you eat.
Always keep that in mind.
