Making a creative use of the latest colors, shapes, and styles, the SWATCH Spring Summer 2009 Collection presents the cutting edge of exciting contemporary trends sweeping through the streets of the world’s trendiest cities.

The famously provocative Swiss watch and jewelry brand displays its signature flair for fashion and surprisingly inventive design with a family of five fashion themes. Each theme speaks to a different audience and offers a refreshingly wide array of choices: Natural Sophistication explores the virtual space where the digital meets the natural world and forms exquisite fusions of the future and the present. Organic Explosion speaks to a woman still a child at heart, to her playfully creative instincts and to a love of life expressed in an outgoing, fun-loving attitude. Neon Streams explodes with hip hues to the streets in a blast of color and bold graphic codes. The Age of Rust pays tribute to heavy industry and the urban landscapes built by rugged, strong and decisive men, while Sailaway evokes the classic male and his dream of escape to a refined and sophisticated life at sea.

As always SWATCH brings art to the wrist with two new works by one of today’s most influential and exciting young French artists and designer GREMS, who is also a man of many colors and voices. The street painter, rapper, hip hop artist and designer uses walls made of brick, wood and concrete; the sides of trucks, subway ad panels, street display windows, clothing (shoes, T-shirts); and anything else he thinks suitable as canvases for his paintings, drawings and designs. The popular rapper and hip hop musician also makes it easy to sample his songs and performances on the web and at live concerts. For the Swatch Spring Summer Collection 2009, GREMS has designed two very special Original Gents, featuring his signature dancing street figures and clusters of colorful signs and lettering.
